My name is David and this is my 1st blog site which is established online in 2006. 

The progress of building a blog was long. It was on my wishlist all the time but never found time to do it. The software (wordpress) for this blog was already installed on the server of isings.com at the end of 2005, but never used. Finally I tried to make time to get it working and here you are on my own blog site.                            

What’s my purpose of this site? Big question, small answer -> fun!! Playing around with html, php etc. is always fun. Maybe not always when pages don’t look like you hoped they would look but overall it is fun to design something online and make it work. It started in 2000 when I first registered the family name url isings.com. I hosted it directly at my provider xs4all.nl and started playing around. Green as I was I started copying sourcecodes from other sites and tried to understand them and redesigned them to my own wishes. The first page is still there (note to the myself: “change the index-site of isings.com” :- ). After that I made a site for Yang Hua’s voice over business as a subpage on isings.com which was also a pretty lame and flat html design. After a few years I thought a nice url was more compelling for her business and would be easier to find on Google so I registered the url you now are on: mandarinjuice.com. The slogan I then thought of was “juice up your Chinese communication with a mandarin voice”. Very quick after that I found there was a nicer url available namely mandarinvoice.com. Eventually that became Hua’s url and it is still there. The site has changed from a flat html site to a nice featured site (but still in html).
In the meantime made sites for the children of my brother (the sites are also subject of being changed). So after making simple but efficient sites for my family members (also played around making a webshop for Astrid) I thought of making my own site……..and now you are here on the result of that. 

This is the wwwww page so why not more about me: my name is David Isings, born in 1968 (the year of the monkey) on the 3rd of February in The Netherlands, at present living in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and working as a Business and Customer Care manager for TargetMedia in Laren. I’m responsible for all our customers in the field of SMS, IVR and Mobile Content. TargetMedia is a leading company in Micropayments, SMS gateway and mobile content. I have a great fascination for China. I have lived and worked between September 2000 and October 2001 in Beijing. I worked there for Teleconcept and set up the IVR platform for our joint venture partner. I have always wanted to live and work in another country, but never ever I have thought for 1 nano second of China. Coming to Beijing changed my live: I met my girlfriend Hua Yang there, I tasted of a new culture, met nice people from all over the world and China became my second homecountry. Although I am not living there at present my big wish and hope is to go there for a few more years and live and work there.
